Course on Construction Contract Administration and Principles and Practice of Technical Audit 

 

Construction Contract Administration

The Objective of the course is to help participants understand the administration of construction contracts so as to ensure successful completion of projects.

The Course Content Common features of Standard Conditions of Contracts, roles of the parties in a contract, risk management in construction contracts, common shortfalls in contract administration including case studies, time control, cost control, quality control, finishing the contract and dispute resolution.

Participation to the course is open to all those who are interested in acquiring or sharpening their skills in administration of construction contracts including Architects, Engineers, Estate Managers, Quantity Surveyors, Lawyers, Contractors and Public and Private Clients.

Principle and Practice of Technical Audit

The Objective of the course is to help participants understand the rationale, principles and practice of Technical Audit. This will in turn promote the application of technical audits as a management tool in performance monitoring and control during project implementation.

The Course Content: An introduction to Technical Auditing, Rationale in project auditing, Stages in auditing, Procedures in auditing construction projects, Preparation of Technical Audit reports .The course will include lectures, case studies and group exercises.

Participation to the course is open to all actors in the construction industry who are eager to acquire technical audit skills. Prospective participants include Architects, Engineers, Estate Managers, Quantity Surveyors, Lawyers, Financial Analysts, Accountants, Auditors, Contractors, Public and Private Clients. Consultants are encouraged to participate so that they may include technical auditing in the business portfolios.

The course fee is Tsh. 600,000 per participant (TSh. 400,000 For Course on Construction Contracts Administration and TSh. 200,000 for Course on Principles and Practice of Technical Audit)  The fee will cover expenses for lunch, mid-break refreshments and course notes. Participants should make own travel and accommodation arrangements.
