The Objective
of the course is to equip the participants with knowledge and skills for facilitating streamlined comprehension of the legal framework,
principles and best practice in procurement of consultancy services. This
should allow efficient and state of art evaluation of consultancy proposals and
create enabling environment for employers to make objective decisions in
awarding consultancy services to competent consultants.
The course content:
The principles for selection of consultants, Public Procurement Act No. 21
of 2004 and its regulations for Selection and Employment of Consultants of
2005, Practical exercises on evaluation of consultancy proposals leading to
award and Preparation of evaluation report.
Participation to the
course is open to all stakeholders interested in acquiring or sharpening
their skills in evaluating consultancy proposals. Prospective participants
include Architects,
Engineers, Quantity
Surveyors, Estate Agents and Managers, Planners,
Procurement Officers, Supplies Officers, Accountants, Members of Tender
Boards, Member of Procurement Management Units (PMUs), Accounting Officers,
public and private sector Clients and Institutions.
Certificates
will be awarded to successful participants upon completion of the course.
The course fee is TSh.
600,000 per participant. The fee covers expenses for lunch, mid-break
refreshments and course materials. Participants should make their own
travel and accommodation arrangements. Note that the course is limited to 20
participants and therefore, early booking is important.
